Albany Bulb mikveh

The first official Queer Mikveh Project mikveh in 2016 took place to support the efforts at Standing Rock and in solidarity with those fighting the Muslim ban. We met at the Albany Bulb, a piece of human made land, construction debris landfill on the East Bay, the ancestral lands of the Huichin Ohlone which for many years hosted a community of houseless folks in an organized community with a library, art installations and public trails. We were inspired by the formation of this piece of land, basically made from human disaster, overtaken and restored by the plant and human community.
